Privacy and your choices

This notice covers Lease A Car Direct's free tools and guides, and the separate shipping quote request described below. You can use the tools without an account or a request for sales contact. Broker and dealer matching is not active.

Information used by the tools

The tools use the numbers and details you enter to calculate estimates or look up vehicle information. Depending on the tool, these may include lease terms, ZIP codes, vehicle details or a VIN. Some calculations run in your browser; others send entries to our server to return a result. Using a tool does not submit a shipping quote request or give permission for sales contact.

Vehicle lookups may send a VIN or vehicle details to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), or vehicle details to the Department of Energy's FuelEconomy.gov service. We cache source responses so later lookups can reuse them. These lookups are separate from shipping requests. Do not enter contact details or private documents into a calculator or vehicle lookup.

Cookies and technical records

Forms may use a session cookie to protect against unwanted submissions. The application also keeps security events and request-limit records to help prevent abuse. Request-limit records use a protected code derived from an IP address; that code is not anonymous. Our hosting service may also process connection details, including IP addresses, request paths and browser information, to serve and protect the site.

The tools do not include advertising trackers or cross-site tracking scripts. A page on another company's website has its own data practices. Browser settings can block cookies, but forms that need a session cookie may then stop working.

A separate shipping quote request

When the shipping request form is available, sending it is a separate choice. The form must show Ship A Car, Inc. as the recipient and ask for your agreement before sending a request. If the form is unavailable, using the shipping estimator does not send a request.

For that request, Lease A Car Direct collects your name, email address, pickup and delivery ZIP codes, and one vehicle description. We keep the request and a record of the wording and choice you submitted, along with the submission time, a protected code derived from your IP address, and browser information. We use these records to handle the request, document your choice and apply stops.

With your agreement, the listed request details may be shared with Ship A Car, Inc. for a shipping quote. Ship A Car, Inc. may email you about that shipping quote request. A separate, optional choice lets you allow calls by a person at the number you give, about that request only. The call choice starts unchecked and is not required to get a quote. No texts or automated or prerecorded calls are authorized. You do not have to book shipping or buy anything. A receipt means we received the request; it does not prove that Ship A Car received it or that a booking exists.

We keep and share your phone number for this request only if you choose calls. Otherwise, a supplied number is checked against the stop list in memory and then discarded without keeping its value or hash. A phone-only request is not accepted.

Lease A Car Direct is operated by Othex Corp. Ship A Car, Inc. is a separate company under common ownership with Othex Corp. A quote you request on Ship A Car's separate website is subject to that site's notices and choices. This notice does not give another company permission to contact you.

Cancel one request: use the cancellation link on its receipt, or in its receipt email if one is sent, and confirm. This stops sending and sharing for that request that has not already happened. It does not cancel other requests or create a continuing stop for your email address.
Stop open requests for an address: enter the email address on the stop page. No account or email confirmation is needed. This cancels that address's open requests without emailing that address. It creates no continuing stop; a later new request with fresh agreement can be accepted.
Stop future shipping-request contact and sharing: use an unsubscribe link in an email Lease A Car Direct sent you and confirm the stop. This cancels open requests and blocks further shipping-request emails, any allowed human calls and future sharing with Ship A Car for requests carrying that email address, including their opted-in calls. It does not create a global stop for a phone number. A later request does not remove this stop.

A stop ends permission for email and any calls you allowed for the shipping request. If details have already been shared, a stop records your choice and alerts our operator through a secure link. We pass on the stop to Ship A Car for emails and calls about the affected requests. Information already sent cannot be recalled. You can also ask its caller to stop or use our contact address. Cancellation and unsubscribe links already issued remain usable under their terms even when new shipping requests are unavailable. This page itself is not a stop form.

Storage, access and privacy requests

Hosting and email services may process information needed to operate the site and deliver requested messages. Request and consent records support handling and checking your request. Stop records help prevent further sending or sharing. Shipping quote requests, including any stored phone number, are deleted 18 months after submission, or sooner on a deletion request. Stop and suppression records are kept as keyed hashes for as long as needed to honor the choice. Backups roll off within 35 days. Hosting connection logs are kept up to 90 days.

Privacy contact address: hello@leaseacardirect.com. The contact page has an email link. Lease A Car Direct is operated by Othex Corp, 5645 Coral Ridge Drive STE 137, Coral Springs, FL 33076. To ask about access or deletion, email this address and describe what you want us to check or delete. Include the email address used for the request. We may ask for information needed to confirm that the request concerns your information; do not send identity documents unless we explain a secure way to provide them. This privacy process is separate from the stop page, which needs no email confirmation. A request to access or delete information is different from cancelling a quote or stopping future contact. Any applicable privacy rights remain yours; this notice does not limit them or claim that every request has the same legal requirements.

Do not send Social Security numbers, financial account details, driver's license numbers or private documents. A privacy inquiry is not permission for sales contact.

Changes

This notice takes effect on November 3, 2026. If we change it, we will publish the updated notice and its new effective date on this page before the change takes effect. A new notice does not expand an earlier request's contact permission.
